Acne Studios originally started in 1996 as a multi-disciplinary design studio. Though its span of specialties included film, graphic design and advertising, among others, it became known for something else entirely. Its founder, Jonny Johannson, had produced and given away 100 pairs of raw denim jeans to friends and family. They were a runaway hit and ended up in the pages of influential publications like Wallpaper and Vogue Paris, ultimately leading Acne Studios to shift its focus to fashion.

Today, Acne's known for its minimalist clothing that ranges from coats, sweaters, accessories and, of course, jeans. They feature a range of premium Japanese denim fabrics in a spectrum of washes and silhouettes, and now you can get in on the brand's foundational jeans (and other great garments) for half off (plus an extra 30 percent off with code 'EXTRA30') over at Totokaelo.

The Best Affordable Jeans, According to a Celebrity Stylist - WHOWHATWEAR

Posted: 21 Jan 2020 09:00 PM PST

Recently, I was chatting with celebrity stylist Chris Horan when he mentioned he has a favorite pair of jeans that he always uses to dress celebs in for events and the red carpet. I expected him to mention an expensive pair of jeans, so it came as a surprise to me when he named Levi's Ribcage Jeans as his go-to denim. "They sit super high (hence the name), and the width of the leg is the perfect nod to a '90s vintage jean without any of the questionable sagging we tend to come across," Horan explained. "It snatches the waist in but then still has that effortless feel everywhere else." While they come in a variety of fits, Horan recommends the straight-leg silhouette, in particular, for a celeb-worthy outfit.

Not only are they approved by Horan, but they're also coveted among Who What Wear's team of editors—myself included. While I stock them in my closet for the combination of a super-flattering fit and an unbeatable price point, I also wanted to know more opinions about the cult jeans, so I asked associate editor Anna LaPlaca to share exactly why she can't live without them. "I recommend Levi's Ribcage Jeans to anyone who will listen. With a 12-plus-inch rise, the ultra-high-waisted denim is the highest I've ever tried on a pair of jeans, and it gives them a super-tight, nipped-in look that I find so alluring," LaPlaca explained. "The high rise means that they play well with crop tops, and I happen to think they look especially good with something boxy tucked in. And they make my butt look aces—what could be better?"

So there you have it. An affordable pair of jeans that are loved by celebs, stylists, and editors alike. What more proof do you need that they belong in your closet? Ahead, see outfits Chris Horan has styled celebs in with the $98 Levi's Ribcage Jeans, and shop them for yourself.

Rita Ora Poses Barefoot In Vest Top & Ripped Jeans - The Inquisitr

Posted: 22 Jan 2020 10:25 AM PST

For Rita Ora's latest Instagram post, the "I Will Never Let You Down" hitmaker is on set shooting in a casual outfit.

The singer kept it simple in a white vest, which she paired with light blue, ripped jeans. Ora went barefoot for the occasion but opted for a lot of accessories. She wore a small gold necklace and numerous rings and bracelets while rocking acrylic nails. The "How We Do (Party)" chart-topper sported shoulder-length curly hair, a glossy lip, and eye shadow, which give the look its finishing touch.

Ora has numerous tattoos on her body and displayed the large ink she has on her hand and arm.

In an upload containing three photos, she posed sitting down on a bed.

In the first shot, Ora was captured laughing. She held a fluffy pillow on her lap, which covered a lot of her outfit. The "Only Want You" songstress held onto one of her feet with her hands and looked like she was living her best life. The pic was candidly taken, and it appeared that Ora was caught in the moment.

In the second photo, she was photographed more close up. Ora looked directly at the camera and flashed a huge smile. She was in the same position as the previous image but gave the camera eye contact.

The third and final shot proved that she was on set for something as her glam squad was sorting out her hair. Ora posed without the pillow and stared at the camera with a glare. She still held onto her foot with both hands and looked comfy.

For her caption, the "Let Me Love You" entertainer teased fans that she is usually shooting something every week but didn't specify what she was up to the day these were taken.

In the span of 23 hours, her post racked up more than 278,000 likes and over 1,130 comments, proving to be popular with her 15.9 million followers.

"Your smile always makes my day," one user wrote.

"You're such a hard-working person! You inspire me to work hard on my dreams," another shared.

"Beautiful from head to toe," a third fan remarked, adding an eye-heart face emoji.

"You have so much charm and so much beauty. Stunning," a fourth follower commented.

Ora is always one for accessorizing when it comes to fashion. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, she promoted a Thomas Sabo jewelry line in a sheer, white lingerie bodysuit and caught the attention of many fans.
