I was usually never a fan of cream products, but now I kind of like them for a more natural makeup look, when I want to look good, but can't be bothered to apply a full on makeup look. Avon added to the creamy trend with their new 2 In One Cushion Cloud Creamy Lip & Cheek Colours.
Packaging
It comes in a small plastic tube which represent color inside. It has a little round sponge applicator which has a hole on top. It's thicker and hardy sponge not one of those fluffy ones that would mimic lip gloss applicators.
In it is 10 ml of product and it usually costs 7.90€.
Formula
If you squeeze it out, you get a firm cream product which has sort of mousse like texture to it. Once you start to blend it out it becomes more matte looking. It leaves a velvet matte finish, but apparently contains coconut oil so it should be moisturizing. Pigmentation is nice. It's definitely buildable, but one light coat gives you a nice natural flush to the cheeks.
It has that signature fruity sweet Avon scent.
Colors
You can choose among 8 colors. Most are versions of pinks and mauves and there are two corals and peaches as well.
Sugar And Spice is one of those universally flattering medium warm dirty mauve pinks. It has just enough of pink and dirty brown tone to it that it will suit most skin tones. It seems to be the most neutral one out of all the shades. I love the color. It's one of those that goes with everything.
Performance
I prefer applying this on my cheeks with a fluffy, yet firm enough synthetic brush. I usually apply some of it on a palette, swirl it, so I cover the brush evenly and lightly brush it against my cheeks. You can apply it with fingers as well, but it won't look as evenly applied. It leaves just a bit of sheen on my combination skin, but on dry skin it will probably be matte.
You can apply it on the lips with the sponge applicator which blends it well. It looks like a natural stain. It reminds me a bit of the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams, but it looks slightly more chalky on the lips than those. I prefer it for the cheeks.
It also stays well on the cheeks for the whole day, while it does fade a bit, but that happens with most creamy blushes anyway. It isn't drying.
When it comes to makeup, I always prefer powders over creams, because those look more even on the skin and are easier to apply. But I love creamy products just as well for a more natural look with a natural texture on the skin. This is surprisingly nice formula for the cheeks. I would skip it on the lips, if yours are dry like mine, but it can double up as a light stain for the lips when you're in a rush. It applies well with a brush and lasts pretty well too. There is no patchiness to it and the color is universally flattering.
