Justin Bieber remembered The Voice singer Christina Grimmie by dedicating his somber piano ballad "Purpose" to her onstage Monday night at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
"Thinking my journey's come to an end," Bieber sings. "Sending out a farewell to my friends, forever peace ... I'm more than grateful for the time we spent, my spirit's at ease." In a fan-shot clip from the Winnipeg show, Bieber lies on his back and addresses Grimmie directly: "Can you hear me?" The pop singer appears to be overcome by emotion, covering his face in his hands.

Grimmie was signing autographs after performing in Orlando last Friday when 27-year-old Kevin James Loibl shot her. Grimmie's brother tackled Loibl, who fatally shot himself. The singer was rushed to the emergency room, where she died a few hours later.
Selena Gomez's stepfather and Christina Grimmie's manager, Brian Teefey, raised over $120,000 for the late singer's family through a GoFundMe page.
